Tanya ketua DAP Selangor, kata Rajiv berkait peruntukan sama rata Adun

R Rajiv, the Deputy President of the Democratic Action Party (DAP) in Selangor, stated during a media briefing that he is not the person to be asked about the possibility of DAP urging the Selangor government to provide equal funding to all its members. He further emphasized that any such inquiry should be directed towards the party's Selangor president, Ng Sze Han.

The assistant treasurer of DAP Selangor reiterated that R Rajiv is not the appropriate person to be questioned on this matter, suggesting that further inquiries could be made to DAP Selangor's president, Gobind Singh Deo. The civil society group Projek Sama had previously called for the state government to establish a system that mandates equal funding for all members of the legislative assembly.

Currently, only the states of Perak and Kelantan provide equal funding to all their legislators, although the practice has not yet been formalized. Yesterday, Gobind urged Anwar to provide equal funding to all Members of Parliament and to institutionalize this practice by enacting legislation to guarantee equal funding on a permanent basis.

This demand came after a special DAP congress on Sunday voted to remain in a united government, with a mandate to take strong steps to implement this major reform.
