Taipei Music Expo 2026 to Feature KPop Demon Hunters Team, 80 Acts From 14 Markets

The Taipei Music Expo (TMEX) is set to return from August 27 to 30, 2026, at the Taipei Music Center. The four-day event will bring together over 100 music industry professionals from 15 different markets, along with more than 60 exhibiting brands. The theme for this year's expo is "Tune in to Taiwan. Sync with Asia."

In addition to the industry market, TMEX will host JAM JAM ASIA, a festival featuring over 80 acts from 14 markets across seven stages on August 29 and 30. The festival showcases a diverse range of sounds from across the Asia-Pacific region, including Japanese city pop, Indonesian metal, Thai indie, and Kazakh electronic music.

A highlight of the TMEX Forum will be the KPop Demon Hunters Team, who will discuss the potential impact of the success of Netflix's animated film on opportunities for Asian artists in global markets. The forum will also explore topics such as festival curation, generative artificial intelligence in music production, international artist marketing, and sustainability in live events. Experts from the United States, Britain, South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan will share their insights on various aspects of the music industry.

TMEX aims to create a platform for artists and businesses to connect with international curators, buyers, and other industry professionals. The expo will serve as a B2B2C platform, focusing on brand exhibitions, business matching, forums, emerging-talent showcases, and fan engagement. Regional music export agencies from Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, and Taiwan will participate in the event.
