Rawalpindi Bans Musical Instruments During Main Milad Procession

Rawalpindi officials have finalized plans for the Eid Miladun Nabi celebrations and have ruled out the use of musical instruments during the main procession. The decision came after a meeting chaired by Rawalpindi Deputy Commissioner, Captain Nadeem Nasir, and City Police Officer, Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera. The focus of the meeting was on security, route planning, traffic control, cleanliness, debris removal, lighting, power supply, and emergency services.

Captain Nasir directed all relevant departments to complete their preparations on schedule and ensure adequate facilities along the procession routes. He also emphasized the importance of collaboration between the district administration, police, peace committees, and religious scholars to maintain tranquility and religious harmony.

The City Police Officer assured that police forces would ensure secure arrangements for the Rabiul Awwal 12 processions and underlined the role of religious scholars in fostering peace. Representatives from Milad committees presented their recommendations to enhance the preparations, while officials from various departments briefed on their security measures.
