PM Anwar orders immediate Immigration probe into fatal Maju Junction crash, vows no compromise if wrongdoing found

Malaysia's Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has ordered an immediate investigation by the Immigration Department into a fatal crash at Maju Junction, according to a Facebook post. The crash, which claimed the lives of three family members, occurred around 1am when an Immigration Department truck entered the intersection against traffic lights and collided with a Proton car and four pedestrians, including the driver of the Proton and the truck operator.

Anwar expressed his condolences on the tragedy and stated that if there was negligence or breach of law, appropriate action must be taken without compromise. The Immigration truck driver and the Proton driver have been detained for further investigation under the Road Transport Act 1987.
