Olivia Rodrigo quietly covered the final semester of college tuition for a fan. The University of Alabama graduate and content creator, Jamie Causey, revealed the act of kindness in a TikTok video about her social media journey. Initially, Causey kept the story private to avoid making a meaningful act public. However, she decided to share it after graduating.

The connection between the two began when Rodrigo liked one of Causey’s birthday videos and left a supportive comment. Causey, a first-generation college student, shared her struggles with tuition coverage without seeking help or sympathy. Rodrigo, moved by her positivity, offered to assist her with the last semester. Rodrigo sent a direct message through Venmo, asking for the funds, to which Causey agreed.

The $5,000 contribution from the singer was disclosed by her representative. Causey expressed her gratitude, emphasizing Rodrigo's kindness and her impact on her content creation platform. Causey also encouraged others to pay forward the kindness they receive, like buying coffee for the person behind them or simply smiling. In June, Rodrigo released her third album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, and she's preparing for a tour in September.
