No. 2 Toombs County starts campaign with tough test against Class AAAAA power

Toombs County begins its pursuit of a third consecutive state title game appearance this Friday with a challenging matchup against Class AAAAA power Benedictine. The Bulldogs have raised the bar following their first state title victory in 2024, falling short by just four points last season against Worth County. Head coach Buddy Martin believes this opening game against the Class AAAA runners-up will serve as a valuable test for his team, given their familiarity and understanding of the opposition.
