MH CET Cell Issues Guidelines For 3-Year LLB CAP Round I Admissions

The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has released guidelines for the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) Round I admissions for the 3-Year LLB program. Candidates must list their college preferences in order of choice, with their top choice first.

If not allotted seats or choosing betterment, applicants must submit a new option form for subsequent rounds, CAP Round II and III. To freeze a seat, candidates must download their Provisional Allotment Letter from the candidate login portal and present it for physical document verification at the allotted institution.

Law colleges are instructed not to verify information from the original CET application form or demand a CET Hall Ticket. Instead, they should verify documents based on the CAP registration form data. Colleges can provide provisional admission to students who lack original SSC or HSC certificates by accepting a written undertaking to submit the originals within 15 days.

Students awaiting final-year degree mark sheets can receive provisional admission using office record copies, mark memos, or certified online results. Colleges should allow candidates to submit original mark sheets up until the last day of CAP Round III. Marksheets from ICSE and CBSE boards with 5 or 6 subjects must be processed without rejection.

Reserved category candidates (VJ/DT-A, NT-B, NT-C, NT-D, OBC, SBC, and SEBC) need to possess Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) certificates valid as of March 31, 2027. Provisional admission may be granted for candidates with CVC, TVC, NCL, or EWS certificates, provided original documents are uploaded before the end of CAP Round III.

Failure to submit necessary certificates by the deadline will result in seat cancellation, forcing students to apply under the Open Category in the Institutional Round. First-preference seat allotments will not be automatically frozen. Candidates who wish to confirm their first-choice seats must pay a ₹1,000 Seat Acceptance Fee through the portal, select the "Freeze" option, and report to the college during the designated period.

Those assigned non-first preference seats can opt for Betterment by paying the ₹1,000 fee and participating in subsequent rounds while maintaining option flexibility.
