Kelana Jaya LRT services back to normal after Putra Heights safety system fault

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 19 — Rapid KL announced that the Kelana Jaya LRT Line has returned to normal operations as of 9:19am today, following completion of inspection and recovery work at Putra Heights station. The disruption earlier stemmed from an issue with the safety detection system at the station. "Checks and recovery measures have been conducted to ensure the system is operating safely," the company stated.

Rapid KL assured that its technical team will maintain monitoring of the system and train movements to guarantee smooth services along the Kelana Jaya Line. The operator clarified that all trains have now resumed their regular schedules, and the services impacted by the disruption have fully recovered. Initially, Rapid KL reported delays due to a suspected fault involving a power supply component at Putra Heights station, resulting in manual operation of trains as a precaution. The company expressed regret to passengers for the inconvenience caused by the train delays.
