Kelana Jaya LRT services back to normal after Putra Heights safety system fault

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 19 — Rapid KL reported its Kelana Jaya LRT Line services have returned to normal following an inspection and repairs at Putra Heights station. The disruption was reportedly due to a malfunction in the station’s safety detection system. The operator stated that thorough checks and recovery procedures were conducted to ensure the system’s safe operation.

Rapid KL’s technical staff will continue to monitor the system and train movements to maintain smooth services on the Kelana Jaya Line. They confirmed that all trains have returned to their regular schedules, and the services impacted by the disruption have fully recovered. Initially, Rapid KL had informed passengers that services were facing delays due to a suspected issue with a power supply component at Putra Heights station, prompting manual operation of the trains as a safety measure. The company extended its apologies to passengers for the inconvenience caused by the train delays.
