Ex-MP Margni Bharat detained amid clash between TDP, YSRCP cadres

Margani Bharat, a former Rajamahendravaram MP, was taken into custody on Wednesday following a confrontation between TDP and YSRCP party members in Krishna Nagar, Ward 40, of Rajamahendravaram city. No injuries were reported during the altercation. Bharat was subsequently released from the III Town police station later that evening.

In a subsequent meeting, former Rajya Sabha MP Pilli Subhash Chandra Bose and Rajamahendravaram Parliament In-Charge Guduri Srinivas convened to discuss the incident. The three men convened at the 40th ward following reports of 300 TDP supporters joining YSRCP. During the meeting, Bharat alleged that local police had permitted a faction of TDP supporters to disrupt the gathering.

Both Subhash Chandra Bose and Guduri Srinivas publicly denounced the police and TDP supporters for attempting to interfere with the meeting. The incident highlights the ongoing tensions between the TDP and YSRCP parties in the region.
