Every Texas A&M player drafted by the Boston Celtics

The Boston Celtics have built their teams through various methods over the decades, with the NBA draft being one of the most successful. Many of the best players who have suited up for the Celtics have either been taken directly in the annual event or via trades made on that night. While top stars are often drafted by the Celtics, the team has also taken numerous alumni from various schools.

To determine which schools provide the most talent for Boston's rosters, we examined all players drafted by the Celtics from different institutions. Here is a list of every player who has been drafted by the Celtics from Texas A&M.

Wayne Lawrence, a forward, was the first player drafted from Texas A&M by the Celtics. He was selected in the 5th round (8th pick, 40th overall) during the 1960 NBA Draft. Lawrence played at Texas A&M for four seasons and went on to play with the Celtics for five seasons.

Robert Williams III, a center, is the second player from Texas A&M to be drafted by the Celtics. He was taken in the 1st round (27th pick, 27th overall) during the 2018 NBA Draft. Williams played two seasons at Texas A&M before joining the Celtics, where he spent five seasons.
