‘Content creators earn more than most Bollywood actors,’ claims Ranveer Allahbadia
Content creator Ranveer Allahbadia has asserted that content creators earn more than many Bollywood actors. In a X post, he said that while only a few select Bollywood actors make substantial money, numerous content creators can build a sustainable income, without the need for fame. However, joining the content creation field in India is not without risks.
In 2025, Ranveer and three other creators faced cancellation after a joke on a popular YouTube show, resulting in FIRs, loss of work, and reputation damage. While some like Ranveer and Samay Raina have recovered, others like Apoorva Makhija have had to relocate for other opportunities. There is some truth to Ranveer's claim, as Bollywood personalities such as Farah Khan and Parmeet Sethi have shared that their earnings as content creators far surpass their film and television incomes.
