Brighton players pay cost of game tickets for their fans traveling to Arctic Circle for playoff

Brighton’s players are covering the expense of match tickets for their supporters who are journeying to the Arctic Circle for Thursday night’s UEFA Conference League playoff game against Norwegian team Tromsø. This is Brighton’s inaugural playoff in Europe’s third-tier club competition. Player Lewis Dunk revealed that the team decided to acknowledge their supporters’ dedication by reimbursing their ticket expenses, along with providing scarves and t-shirts as a special thank you.

Dunk explained that the fans were unaware of their destination until the final moments before departure, emphasizing the considerable distance they must travel. Brighton secured a 7-1 aggregate victory over Romanian club Cluj in the previous week, securing their spot in the playoff. The players’ gesture is expected to be reimbursed to the fans following the match.
