Anthropic Extends Deadline for Higher Claude Code Usage Limits

Anthropic has extended its temporary 50% increase in Claude Code weekly usage limits through August 31, giving paid users more capacity for its AI coding tool. This promotion, initially stated to last until August 19, has been extended again. Alongside this, Anthropic also updated Claude Fable 5 access on July 20, making it a standard feature for Max plans, Team Premium seats, and premium seats on legacy seat-based Enterprise plans.

Users in these tiers can utilize up to 50% of their regular weekly usage limit on Fable 5 without extra cost, drawing from the same overall weekly usage limit as other Claude models. For Pro and Team Standard users, who do not have Fable 5 included in their subscription, Anthropic provided a one-time $100 usage credit to assist with the transition.

This credit is not applicable to users of legacy Enterprise plans who enabled Fable 5 access through usage credits. The temporary 50% increase in Claude Code limits, separate from the Fable 5 allowance, is expected to remain in place through August 31.
