Anil Ravipudi’s new film with Venkatesh gets title—and it doubles as release date

Anil Ravipudi's upcoming film featuring Venkatesh Daggubati and Nandamuri Kalyan Ram has been given a title that doubles as the confirmed release date. The movie, titled January 12 Vidudala, is set to release on January 12, 2027, during the Sankranthi 2027 festival period. This naming strategy is reminiscent of Ravipudi's previous film, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, and echoes the style of the 1980s film April 1 Vidudala by veteran director Vamsy.

The announcement was made through a humorous video featuring the principal cast, who were initially confused by the title, mistaking it for a release date. The video introduced the tagline "Bava Bammardi Soujanyamtho," hinting at the on-screen dynamic between Venkatesh and Kalyan Ram, who are reportedly playing brothers-in-law. This marks their first collaboration on screen.

For Venkatesh, it's his fifth collaboration with Anil Ravipudi, and for Kalyan Ram, a reunion with his first film producer. The film also stars Keerthy Suresh and Krithi Shetty. GV Prakash Kumar composed the music, and the film is produced by Sahu Garapati under Shine Screens, with Suresh Productions and Smt. Archana presenting it in association with Zee Studios.
