Alex Acheampong features Celestine Donkor on new gospel single ‘Afa’

Ghanaian gospel music fans are about to receive an uplifting new track as Alex Acheampong prepares to release his latest single, "Afa", featuring celebrated gospel singer Celestine Donkor. The song is set for digital release on August 20, 2026, with a focus on the blessings that come from trusting in God. Inspired by his own faith journey, Acheampong explains that "when you accept God, doors open" – leading to marriage, travels, divine connections, peace, and more.

The Akan word "Afa," meaning "it has worked," encapsulates the song's message of divine intervention when one puts their faith in God.

With its catchy rhythm and contemporary sound, "Afa" masterfully combines Acheampong's songwriting skills with Donkor's powerful vocals, appealing to both church congregations and mainstream music enthusiasts. The singer shares her enthusiasm for the project, stating, "It's a testimony; it's going to bless homes, and I'm honored to be part of it."

"Afa" will be accessible on major digital platforms, and Acheampong is currently gearing up for his highly anticipated Emmanuel Praise Concert, which is set to take place in Ghana in December.
