Alabama duo named to 2026 USA TODAY Sports preseason All-America team

The Alabama Crimson Tide defense has earned recognition as two of the nation's top college football players have been named to the 2026 USA TODAY Sports preseason All-America team. Bray Hubbard, a safety, was honored with first-team status, while Zabien Brown, a cornerback, secured second-team recognition. These two Alabama players were the only ones from their school to receive preseason honors.

Hubbard's stellar 2025 season resulted in his selection, as he recorded a remarkable 79 total tackles, led the SEC with four interceptions, and contributed four.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, and three forced fumbles, among six pass breakups. Brown, a sophomore, also had a standout year, tallying 39 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, one forced fumble, and six pass breakups, alongside two interceptions, both of which he returned for touchdowns, leading college football.

The Crimson Tide's 2026 season is scheduled to commence on Saturday, September 5, at home against East Carolina.
