Malaysian men's doubles shuttlers, Man Wei Chong-Tee Kai Wun, continued their winning streak in the World Championships by defeating a Chinese team in their first match. Their impressive performance led them to advance to the second round, where they will face fellow countrymen Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik. This is the third consecutive victory for the duo against their Chinese rivals.

Wong Ling Ching, representing Malaysia in women's singles, also secured her position in the second round after a swift 23-minute win against a Peruvian opponent. The match concluded in just 23 minutes, showcasing Wong's impressive skills and quick reflexes.

In their opening encounter, Wei Chong-Kai Wun demonstrated his prowess by defeating Huang Di-Liu Yang, a 34th-ranked player from China, in a thrilling 36-minute match. The Malaysian pair has now won three matches against each other, solidifying their strong partnership.

For Wong Ling Ching, the next challenge is set to be even more formidable as she will face off against Japan's world No 2, Akane Yamaguchi, in the coming rounds.
