Lucknow, August 18: The Yogi Government in Uttar Pradesh is intensifying flood relief efforts as 13 districts face the impact of flooding. District administrations are actively shifting affected people to safer locations and providing them with essential relief material, including food, medical care, and other necessities. The Control Room of the Relief Commissioner’s Office is constantly in contact with affected districts to monitor the situation.
Over 1.4052 billion SMS alerts have been sent to inform the public about weather department warnings. So far, 4,800 flood-affected individuals have been relocated to safer areas. Medical teams have treated 19,406 people, and relief work continues in 173 villages across 13 districts, including Badaun, Bahraich, Ballia, and others.
As of now, the flood situation is reported as normal and under control, with 13,058 hectares of area affected and 84,362 people impacted.
