Total Wireless expands Western Union services to stores

Total Wireless has announced a broader collaboration with Western Union to provide financial services in its retail outlets across the United States, according to a press release. The offerings, which include money transfers, bill payments, and money orders, commenced in select stores and will gradually be introduced in more locations by the end of 2026.

All customers can access these services at the same Western Union rates. Those on Total Wireless MAX 5G BYO, MAX 5G, and ALL ACCESS plans can still enjoy one fee-free Western Union money transfer per month, redeemable via Western Union's website, mobile app, or in-person at participating Total Wireless stores. This waiver covers the transfer fee, while exchange rates, taxes, and surcharges remain applicable.

Western Union maintains a vast network of over 360,000 payout locations worldwide, catering to more than 200 countries and territories. Total Wireless, a prepaid wireless provider on the Verizon 5G network, operates 2,000 stores nationwide and is part of Verizon's Value portfolio of prepaid brands. The partnership comes after Total Wireless initiated monthly fee-free money transfers in June for eligible plan users.
