Tinubu support group kicks off 2027 campaign with 3,000-man walk

The PBAT Door-To-Door Movement, Southwest, is set to kick off its 2027 re-election campaign for President Bola Tinubu with a 3,000-man Posterity Walk in Lagos. The march, to be held at the Lagos Television premises in Agidingbi, Ikeja, aims to showcase unity and mobilize voters across the Southwest region. Awoyinfa Opeoluwa, the Zonal Secretary of the movement, emphasized the event's role in demonstrating support for Tinubu and ensuring his administration's vision continues to prosper.

The walk will also serve as a public display of the group's commitment to Tinubu's administration, aiming to build a stronger grassroots support base in the six South-West states. Participants are encouraged to bring banners and posters to draw attention to the administration's efforts in economic growth, good governance, and national unity.

As political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections, Tinubu, who won the 2023 election on the All Progressives Congress platform, is seeking a second term amid criticism from opposition parties and sections of the public over economic challenges, while supporters argue that necessary reforms are required for long-term economic growth. The South-West is crucial to Tinubu's political base, given his Lagos State roots.
