진종오 “윤리위, ‘한국말 못 알아듣냐’는 식…위원 기피신청 낼 것”

National Assembly member Jinkyung Oh attended the Central Ethics Committee of the National Assembly on the 18th. He expressed his disappointment and disapproval of Ethics Committee Chairman Yun Min-woo's comment, "Do you not understand Korean?" Oh stated that he would lodge a request for dismissal from the ethics committee. The ethics committee held a full meeting at the Cultural Center of Seoul on the afternoon of the same day, where they heard statements from Oh, Jikgeuk Jik, Seobum Su, and Gwang Yong-jin.

Oh was questioned about his stance during the disciplinary proceedings. His legal representative, Park Sae-wook, explained that proceeding with the disciplinary proceedings in the current situation was considered illegal. Jik, the chairman, pointed out that the replacement of Kim Mun-su, the presidential candidate, in the aftermath of the 5th of May incident was more significant than this incident.

He questioned whether the Ethics Committee had overlooked the disciplinary measures taken against the key personnel. Jik also announced his refusal to accept the disciplinary decision.
