Standard Chartered Bank partners Junior Achievement Nigeria to equip over 600 young Nigerians with digital skills

Standard Chartered Bank in Nigeria has joined forces with Junior Achievement Nigeria (JAN) to offer a Digital Bootcamp Programme aimed at equipping over 600 young Nigerians with essential digital skills. This initiative is set to take place in key locations like Ondo, Abuja, Rivers, and Kaduna states, providing intensive, hands-on training over a 10-day period.

The programme is geared towards graduates, National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members, women, and young people from low-income communities. By focusing on project management, data analysis, cybersecurity, UI/UX design, IT support, and digital marketing, the bootcamp aims to bridge skills gaps and enhance employment and entrepreneurship prospects in Nigeria's burgeoning digital economy.

The Standard Chartered Foundation's involvement underscores its dedication to enhancing youth employability and economic participation by equipping underserved young individuals with the necessary skills, knowledge, and networks to excel in the future workforce. Beyond financial backing, Standard Chartered employees will also volunteer through the Skills-Based Volunteering Programme, providing mentorship and further strengthening the digital talent pipeline in Nigeria.
