#SHOWBIZ: Shila Amzah responds to fans' complaints over concert issues: 'I sincerely apologise'

KUALA LUMPUR: Renowned singer Shila Amzah has publicly apologized to her fans for technical problems that occurred during her concert at Resorts World Genting last Saturday. The 37-year-old, also known as Nurshahila Amir Amzah, acknowledged issues with poor sound quality before the concert started and the absence of song lyrics on the LED screen behind the stage.

She wrote, "For those who experienced problems before the concert started, including unsatisfactory sound and the LED screen at the back not displaying the lyrics, I sincerely apologise for having to go through those experiences."

Shila expressed gratitude to her team for their tireless efforts to ensure the concert ran smoothly despite the challenges. "My team and I have worked extremely hard to do everything we could behind the scenes. What was translated onto the stage was beyond our control," she stated. She emphasized that every concert is meticulously planned to deliver the best possible experience, but there are many details that cannot be disclosed publicly.

"At every concert, we want to give it our very best. But honestly, there is too much that cannot be written about," Shila added.

Apart from apologizing for the technical issues, Shila also expressed her regret for any shortcomings experienced by the audience. She urged everyone involved in the Malaysian creative industry to reflect and improve. "I want to apologise for any shortcomings sincerely. I hope everyone can reflect and improve where necessary to elevate and uphold Malaysian arts," she said.

Despite the setbacks, fans were entertained by Shila's performance, during which she delivered around 40 songs and welcomed guest performers Mimifly and Hael Husaini to the stage.
