QFA's Refereeing Department concludes Elite Referees Camp ahead of New Season

The Qatar Football Association's Refereeing Department concluded its Elite Referees Camp, taking place from August 7 to 18. Leading lecturers and experts in the field participated in a comprehensive program covering various aspects of refereeing. This included theoretical lectures, practical and physical training, and psychological preparation.

The camp focused on the Laws of the Game, practical applications, and field exercises designed to improve technical and physical skills. It also aimed to enhance decision-making speed and accuracy in handling refereeing situations.

Upon completion of the camp, referees were required to take a written test on the Laws of the Game to evaluate their understanding and the benefits gained from the training. QFA Referees Committee Chairman Hani Taleb Ballan commended the referees' efforts during the camp, emphasizing the importance of leveraging the experience gained and maintaining their current level.

He urged the referees to continue advancing their skills and striving for the highest refereeing standards in the coming period, to meet the aspirations of the QFA and its Referees Committee.

Jonathan Lardot, Technical Director of the Professional Referee Department at the Royal Belgian Football Association, expressed his pleasure at participating in the Qatar Elite Referees Camp. He praised the event's organizational, technical, and logistical standards, noting that they reflect Qatar's leadership in delivering world-class standards in organizing sporting events.
