Beer giant Tusker backs Driftwood 7s with Sh1.5 million sponsorship

Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) has provided a Sh1.5 million financial boost to the Driftwood Sevens tournament through its flagship brand Tusker. This sponsorship comes ahead of the fourth leg of the 2026 National Sevens Circuit in Mombasa and will bolster the event's organization and fan experience. This marks the continuation of a partnership that has supported all four legs of this year's circuit, including Prinsloo Sevens, Dala Sevens, and Kabeberi Sevens.

Mombasa Rugby Commercial Director Teddy Ndemo expressed appreciation for the significant support, emphasizing its positive impact on the competition and fan enjoyment. The defending champions, KCB RFC, are set to participate in the weekend's tournament, aiming to retain the Driftwood 7s title and strengthen their position at the top of the overall National Sevens Circuit standings.

KCB will rely on star players Samuel Asati and George Ooro as they strive for another impressive performance. With KCB focused on consistency and Tusker's continued backing enhancing the tournament's infrastructure and atmosphere, the Driftwood Sevens is expected to be one of the most closely watched legs of the season, featuring both prestigious titles and crucial circuit momentum at the Mombasa Sports Club.
