Qatar Photography Center Director to QNA: Photography highlights Qatar’s sporting Renaissance locally and Internationally

On August 19, the world commemorates World Photography Day, honoring the work of photographers who capture and share stories of humanity, culture, and the environment. Qatar's commitment to photography is exemplified by the Qatar Photography Center, established by the Ministry of Culture, which continues to play a vital role in shaping the nation's photographic landscape.

Director Jassim Ahmed Al Buainain spoke about the center's dedication to supporting photography as a means of documenting Qatar's sporting achievements and promoting a culture of sports. Another significant endeavor by the center was the "World Cup Legacy" exhibition, which opened in conjunction with the announcement of the 2026 World Cup. This exhibition celebrated Qatar's hosting of the prestigious tournament, highlighting the lasting impact of the sports legacy.
