The dialogue centered on fostering collaboration and enhancing bilateral ties. Additionally, the two leaders addressed the current Middle East situation and ongoing efforts to resolve conflicts. The ongoing US-Iran conflict persisted, and a two-month window for peace negotiations had concluded without achieving any tangible progress.

Earlier that week, Sheikh Mohamed had convened with Sultan Haitham of Oman in Abu Dhabi. The discussion focused on regional security concerns and strategies to bolster economic cooperation between their nations. Both leaders emphasized the significance of sustained cooperation to tackle shared regional issues and safeguard security and stability. They also reflected on their longstanding bilateral relationship.

The UAE Foreign Ministry condemned an Iranian drone attack on Iraq's Kurdistan region on Tuesday. Two explosives-laden drones targeted the office of Masrour Barzani, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, and the residence of a senior security official in Erbil. While no casualties or significant damage were reported, the attack was deemed a "dangerous escalation" by the ministry. The drones launched from Iran's border region around midnight on Monday.
