Osun poll: Oyebamiji appreciates supporters, decries attacks on APC members

Bola Oyebamiji, the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in the Osun State election on August 15, has expressed appreciation for his supporters but decried attacks on members and supporters of the party. In a statement on X, Oyebamiji called on the Osun State Government and security agencies to intervene and stop the growing hostility and violence against APC members.

Despite the election being won by incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke, Oyebamiji respected the electoral umpire's decision and supported the party's call for a review of the result. Oyebamiji thanked voters, party members, leaders, and volunteers for their support, emphasizing that the campaign's end did not mark the conclusion of efforts to improve Osun State.

However, he raised concerns about the escalating violence against APC members following the election, urging swift action from the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies.
