Milei-linked political consultant detained in Bolivia after shooting of former partner

Fernando Cerimedo, a political consultant who has worked on presidential campaigns for several Latin American right-wing leaders, including Argentina's President Javier Milei, was detained in Bolivia after his former partner, Bolivian activist and lawyer Nadia Beller, was shot three times. Cerimedo's detention occurred at Viru Viru International Airport in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, where he was attempting to board a flight to Buenos Aires.

Beller claimed that Cerimedo had attempted to eliminate her, stating that their relationship had given her insider knowledge of the inner workings of President Rodrigo Paz's government. The attack took place at a hotel in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, where two men dressed as food delivery drivers opened fire on Beller. Police suspect the attack was linked to Beller's past relationship with Cerimedo.
