Gachagua: I will tell Johanna Ng’eno’s mother what killed her son

Rigathi Gachagua, a former Deputy President, has announced his intention to inform Johanna Ng’eno’s mother about the cause of her son's death during his visit to Emurua Dikirr Constituency. Speaking at a Wiper Party delegation event, Gachagua stated he would disclose all relevant information to Ng’eno’s mother before attending rallies in the area on August 21, 2026.

This announcement follows Gachagua's earlier speculations about the circumstances surrounding Ng’eno's death, which occurred in a plane crash in Mosop on February 28, 2026, while she was traveling to Emurua Dikirr for an election event. Gachagua has previously alleged that her death was not a natural event but rather a deliberate act meant to silence a tenacious leader.

His latest remarks precede his scheduled visit to Emurua Dikirr, where he aims to express gratitude to supporters of the DCP candidate in the recent by-election. Although the DCP candidate secured over 10,000 votes, placing second behind UDA candidate David Keter, Gachagua considers the outcome significant due to Emurua Dikirr's historical loyalty to President Ruto.

The DCP leader's confidence in his support among the Kipsigis community has been bolstered by the DCP's strong performance in the constituency, and he plans to expand the party's influence in the region ahead of the 2027 general election. Gachagua has also pledged to contest the long-standing Angata Barikoi land dispute, promising to deploy a team of 10 lawyers to help the community resolve the contentious issue, which has previously been associated with violence.

Despite potential opposition, Gachagua remains defiant, ready to engage directly with the people of Emurua Dikirr regardless of the challenges that may arise.
