Forensic pathologist details Tupac Shakur’s fatal wounds at Duane ‘Keffe D’ Davis trial

In the Las Vegas trial of Duane "Keffe D" Davis, a forensic pathologist detailed the fatal wounds of the late rapper Tupac Shakur. Some of Shakur's family members exited the courtroom before the autopsy photos were shown. Dr. Lisa Gavin, a Clark County, Nevada medical examiner, testified about the autopsy results. Her examination revealed the bullet entered Shakur's chest near his armpit, traveled through his chest and lung, causing the lung to collapse and bleed.

Doctors removed the damaged lung to save Shakur's life, who ultimately succumbed to his injuries six days after the shooting. Davis is charged with orchestrating Shakur's fatal drive-by shooting, which prosecutors allege was a response to an attack on Davis' nephew. Davis' lawyer called the prosecution's narrative "fiction," claiming law enforcement knew of Davis' false statements.

Jurors were shown video of Shakur's entourage attacking Davis' nephew outside a Las Vegas boxing match, which triggered Davis' plan for revenge. Shakur's grandson was one of the victims in the attack.
