DONE DEAL: Guglielmo Vicario joins Juventus on loan-to-buy

Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur have announced that Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario will join the Old Lady on a season-long loan with a buy option. The Italian side has secured the services of the club's top keeper from the past three seasons. Vicario, who has been Tottenham's starting goalkeeper since his return to the team after an injury setback earlier this season, has been seeking a return to Italy all summer.

The deal includes a reported purchase price of £8.6 million. Initial reports suggested the loan fee would be higher, but subsequent information indicates a smaller upfront fee, with the option itself valued at around €2 million. While Vicario is a competent goalkeeper, he has shown some areas for improvement, particularly in passing and distribution.

Nevertheless, he possesses strong shot-stopping abilities. Toni Kinski, who will be competing for the starting role at Juventus, will have the opportunity to prove himself.
