Aptech targets digital skills gap amid rising demand

Technology training provider Aptech Nigeria is addressing the growing digital skills gap in Nigeria by offering career-focused technology and vocational education. At its inaugural national convocation in Lagos, the company recognized over 130 graduates and awarded four scholarships worth a combined N60 million to students pursuing further education at Middlesex University in the UK.

Aptech's programmes combine classroom instruction with practical projects and examinations to prepare students for jobs in technology and related fields. The scholarships aim to provide beneficiaries with a pathway to international education after completing Aptech programs. The convocation, held on August 8th under the theme 'One Milestone.

Many Futures,' gathered more than 400 parents, graduates, students, education partners, faculty members, and industry representatives. Aptech's executive vice president and head, Dr Kallol Mukherjee, urged graduates to continue developing their skills as technology changes the nature of work. The organization operates through a network of over 70 centers across Nigeria, making it a broad distribution network for technology and vocational training.
