Allende gives update on Sundowns future

Marcelo Allende has reaffirmed his commitment to Mamelodi Sundowns despite entering the final year of his contract. The Chilean midfielder, 27, was rumored to be on the transfer market before the start of the season, with his deal set to conclude at the end of the campaign. Allende, currently the subject of no transfer interest, spoke candidly about his future and his dedication to the club.

"I am 100% focused on my last year at the club," Allende stated. "I haven't spoken with anyone but I'm really focused." The midfielder, who joined Sundowns from Uruguayan side Montevideo City Torque, has established himself as an integral component of the squad. Allende emphasized that he will maintain his all-out effort for Sundowns, whether he is on the field or offering support from the sidelines.

"When I play, I will always give 100% and if not, I will also support my teammates because the most important thing is the results and to bring good things to the club," he explained. Allende's comments came ahead of Mamelodi Sundowns' Betway Premiership fixture against Marumo Gallants at Loftus Versfeld. The reigning African champions aim to rebound from a recent 1-1 draw against Kaizer Chiefs, while Gallants return from a heavy 3-1 loss to Stellenbosch FC.

Allende concluded, "We're doing well at training and we're ready for the next one. We have played three games already, won two of them and we drew one but we're united and ready for the next one."
