2027: Reps minority caucus urges opposition unity to defeat APC

The Minority Caucus of Nigeria's House of Representatives has called for opposition parties and presidential candidates to unite against the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections. This call was made after a private meeting in Abuja with representatives from G-100, a coalition advocating for a stronger and more united opposition.

The Minority Leader, Frederick Agbedi, stated that the caucus and G-100 intend to intensify their collaboration to strengthen democracy and provide Nigerians with a strong alternative to the ruling APC. Agbedi emphasized that the opposition must prioritize national interest over personal ambitions and urged all opposition stakeholders to work together for a credible alternative to the current government.

This push for unity comes amid growing efforts by opposition parties and groups to form a cohesive coalition capable of challenging the APC effectively in 2027.
