Transfer: Arsenal ignore Galatasaray’s warning, determined to sign Osimhen

Arsenal football club has disregarded Galatasaray's statement that striker Victor Osimhen will not be sold before the conclusion of the summer transfer window. Despite Galatasaray engaging in negotiations for Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri, the Premier League champions are persistently exploring the possibility of acquiring Osimhen.

Osimhen, a 27-year-old with 59 goals in 74 matches since moving from Napoli for 75 million euros (£65 million), has been linked with a move to the Premier League for years. Two years ago, he came close to signing with Chelsea. During his club's opening match of the new season, Osimhen acknowledged rumors surrounding potential departures but emphasized that "there are always rumors during the transfer windows."

However, Galatasaray's president, Dursun Ozbek, has firmly stated that Osimhen will not be sold under any circumstances. The Turkish club demonstrated their resolve to keep Osimhen by rejecting a 130 million euros (£111 million) bid from Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal. Nevertheless, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta remains committed to securing Osimhen's services, considering the Nigerian player "more attainable" than Julian Alvarez.

While Arsenal has a long-standing interest in Alvarez, Atletico Madrid is reportedly demanding a minimum of £150 million for his transfer.
