TNAU Admissions 2026: 1,112 UG Agricultural Seats Remain Vacant Across Tamil Nadu, Fresh Counselling To Be Held From August 24–27

Coimbatore witnessed the announcement by Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) regarding 1,112 vacant undergraduate agricultural seats across the state, following the completion of earlier counselling rounds. Additional counselling sessions are set to be held from August 24 to 27 for eligible students to fill these remaining spots.

Invited candidates are required to appear for counselling on the allotted date, presenting all necessary certificates and supporting documents. The admission process commenced on July 3, after TNAU released the rank list for agricultural courses at its Coimbatore campus, with online counselling beginning on July 9 for those seeking admission to undergraduate programmes from the university and its affiliated colleges.

A separate admission process, held on July 20, catered to students from government schools under the 7.5 percent preferential reservation, with 424 seats allocated, leaving 222 still vacant. The total number of available seats for agricultural courses during the current academic year stood at 5,236, with 4,124 seats secured through the general counselling process.

TNAU urges candidates to verify the counselling details and bring the required certificates to demonstrate their eligibility, as absence on the scheduled date could impact their chances of securing admission.
