Tinubu: Sowore doubts Davido’s alleged disagreement with Adeleke, cites deleted tweets

The presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore, has expressed doubts about Afrobeats singer Davido's reported disagreement with Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke regarding his endorsement of President Bola Tinubu for a second term in office. Sowore pointed out his previous criticism of Adeleke and Davido's response to it.

He wrote, "I stated categorically that Governor Ademola Adeleke is empty upstairs. Of course, his loud and lousy cousin, Davido, couldn’t take it and went on a rant." Sowore questioned the reports alleging that Davido disagreed with Adeleke's decision to support Tinubu, noting that the singer had previously deleted a tweet stating he would not support the President's re-election.

The tweet read, "But can you trust Davido on this. This is the same Davido who deleted his tweet saying he would not support Tinubu for a disastrous second term." Sowore urged Nigerians to base their judgment of public figures on their actions, not just their statements, adding, "At the end of the day, Nigerians should watch what they do, not merely what they say."

Furthermore, Sowore alleged that the family's political activities were driven by protecting their interests in Osun State and the power sector, stating, "That is not public service. It is politics built around private interests."
