Sportwagen: Lamborghini schärft den Revuelto nach

Lamborghini has enhanced its V12 engine line-up with a race-oriented street version, the Revuelto SV. This plug-in hybrid model boasts a system power output of 783 kW/1,065 PS and a maximum torque of 1,425 Newtonmetres. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.4 seconds and reach 200 km/h in 6.7 seconds, with a top speed potentially exceeding 345 km/h.

The Revuelto SV carries forward Lamborghini's more than 50-year-old "Super Veloce" tradition, which began with the 1971 Miura SV. The term traditionally signifies performance-enhanced variants of existing models. The Revuelto SV boosts power by 50 PS compared to the base model. The 6.5-liter V12 piston engine delivers 607 kW/825 PS and is assisted by three electric motors powered by a 7.3 kWh battery.

Lamborghini's CEO, Stephan Winkelmann, describes the SV as "the pinnacle" of the current model lineup. More crucial than raw power, Winkelmann emphasizes, is a stronger emotional connection between the driver and the machine. The SV differs technically through revised aerodynamics, a chassis derived from motorsport, a new carbon-ceramic brake system, and specially developed tires compared to the Revuelto.

A new driving mode, "Pilota," is introduced for racetrack use, configurable in five stages to adapt traction and stability control to the driver's wishes, track conditions, and tire wear. Winkelmann states that this additional technology will make the car manageable for less experienced drivers despite its high performance. Lamborghini plans to keep the V12 motor at least until the mid-2030s.

The Revuelto SV is designed to meet various emission regulations worldwide, including the upcoming Euro 7 standard. Winkelmann sees potential for combustion engines even after 2035 if European regulations allow operation with alternative fuels. Outside Europe, he anticipates no fundamental issues for the V12. Lamborghini does not disclose the price or production volume for the Revuelto SV.

Like other models, customers can extensively personalize the SV, including various paint jobs, carbon fiber parts, wheels, and interior fittings. Beyond these specifics, Lamborghini hasn't provided additional details about the Revuelto SV.
