Sazerac strikes deal for UK’s Au Vodka

Sazerac, a US-based distiller, has reached an agreement to acquire the UK-based spirits brand Au Vodka. This strategic move allows Sazerac to bolster its portfolio and strengthen its presence in the UK market. According to a report from Sky News, the deal is valued at around £500 million ($678 million). Au Vodka, founded in 2015 by Jackson Quinn and Charlie Morgan, specializes in flavored vodka drinks sold in distinctive gold cans and bottles.

The company reported a 27% increase in turnover for the year ending April 2025, reaching £82.8 million, with a profit of nearly £5 million. Sazerac's acquisition of Au Vodka complements its existing portfolio, which includes other popular vodka brands like Wheatley and Svedka. The brand has already gained traction in the UK, with several major retailers stocking its products, including Asda and Tesco.

Au Vodka has also expanded its reach to the US and several European countries, including the Netherlands and Germany.
