Samsung May Launch Five Foldable Phones Next Year

Samsung may significantly boost its foldable phone lineup in 2027 according to South Korean report. ETNews claims the company is developing a second wide-format foldable for the Galaxy Z9 generation. The Galaxy Z Fold8 has seen success, prompting Samsung to boost its 2026 production target by 1 million units. Its unique 4:3 design has been well-received by users for viewing photos, documents, and multitasking.

Samsung is now exploring a wider foldable aimed at video watching and gaming, aiming to better accommodate widescreen video. If all reported models are produced, Samsung could launch up to five Galaxy Z foldables next year. These include the Galaxy Z Fold9, Galaxy Z Fold9 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip9, a wider foldable for entertainment, and potentially a successor to the Galaxy Z TriFold.
