Punjab Sets Deadline to Complete Data Darbar Development Works

The Punjab government has set a deadline to complete development works at the Data Darbar shrine before the saint's next Urs. Dr. Ehsan Bhutta, secretary of the Punjab Auqaf Department, announced the plan during an inspection of ongoing projects. Bhutta, who also oversees the Auqaf in Punjab, directed officials to accelerate construction while maintaining high standards.

The government aims to transform Data Darbar into a modern shrine with improved facilities for devotees, including better visitor management, cleanliness, security, and parking. All available resources will be utilized to ensure the projects are completed on time and to the required quality, especially in the run-up to the annual Urs, which draws thousands of devotees from Pakistan and abroad.

The inspection was attended by officials from NESPAK, TEPA, the Communication and Works Department, and the Auqaf Department, who also placed a chadar on the saint's grave and offered Fateha.
