Osun poll: Don’t be discouraged, APC chieftain tells party members

Former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola has commended Governor Ademola Adeleke on his re-election following the state's gubernatorial election held on August 15, 2026. Aregbesola, in a statement, also praised members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for their conduct and strong support for Adeleke's campaign. He urged Adeleke to use the re-election as a renewed mandate to unite the state, deepen development, and govern fairly and responsibly.

Aregbesola emphasized that the people of Osun had spoken through the ballot and their decision should be respected. He praised the ADC members for their steadfastness, courage, and commitment throughout the election process, particularly for their unwavering support for the party's candidate, Dr. Najeem Folasayo Salaam. Aregbesola also called on Adeleke to extend his hand of fellowship to other political groups, promoting inclusion, reconciliation, and service to all in his next administration.
