Former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola has commended Governor Ademola Adeleke on his re-election following the state's gubernatorial election held on August 15, 2026. He urged Adeleke to use the re-election as a renewed mandate to unite the state, deepen development, and govern fairly and responsibly.

Aregbesola emphasized that the people of Osun had spoken through the ballot and their decision should be respected. He praised the ADC members for their steadfastness, courage, and commitment throughout the election process, particularly for their unwavering support for the party's candidate, Dr. Najeem Folasayo Salaam.
