Osun Poll: Adeleke’s re-election a testament to people’s power – Okonkwo

Kenneth Okonkwo, a former Labour Party presidential campaign spokesperson and chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, has congratulated Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, on his re-election following the August 15th election. Okonkwo described Adeleke's victory as a testament to the power of the people, stating that "the power of the people will always be greater than the people in power."

He urged opposition parties to take the outcome as a wake-up call and prepare for the 2027 general elections, warning that the ruling All Progressives Congress will make every effort to retain power. Okonkwo also criticized the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for bungling the 2023 general election and called for accountability from the Nigerian people and electoral bodies ahead of the next general elections.
