Osun Election: APC chieftain urges members to remain united

Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a former lawmaker and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, has advised party members and leaders not to be disheartened by the recent governorship election results. Speaking to journalists in Osogbo, Oyintiloye emphasized that the outcome should be viewed as a chance for the APC to fortify its gains and bolster its structures within the state.

According to Oyintiloye, the party should scrutinize areas that need improvement, return to the grassroots, and intensify engagement with residents in anticipation of forthcoming elections. He also highlighted the importance of maintaining unity, discipline, and focus among APC members. Oyintiloye praised President Bola Tinubu for his intervention and support, both before and during the election, describing it as a testament to his leadership and dedication to the party's growth in Osun.

The President's involvement, Oyintiloye noted, had revitalized confidence among APC members and reinforced the morale of the party's various units across the state. The APC's performance, despite being the opposition party in Osun, demonstrated its strong presence and robust political structure, having garnered over 444,000 votes. This, Oyintiloye argued, showcased that the party is firmly entrenched in the state and poised for an even more successful showing in the 2027 general elections.

Oyintiloye also recognized the unwavering commitment of former Osun State Governor and Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, to the APC. He commended James Faleke, the APC National Secretary, for his contributions to the party. Oyintiloye urged all APC members across the 30 local government areas to remain calm, united, and committed. He stressed that the focus now should be on learning from the election's outcome, maintaining unity, and preparing for future contests.
