Minister plans new forestry council to bridge deep policy divides
Minister of the Environment Andres Sutt plans to establish a separate forestry council at the end of August, where interest groups, politicians, officials and researchers can discuss and clarify the main points of contention in forestry. Changes to the Forest Act, the forestry development plan and the Nature Conservation Act remain on hold.
