LIV Golf to end season early and cancel the Michigan team event

LIV Golf has decided to end its season one week earlier than initially planned, with the team championship being held in Indiana instead of Michigan. This announcement came on Monday, with the league opting to crown the team champion this week in Indiana. The 12 tournaments scheduled for this year, with New Orleans previously postponed, represent the shortest schedule for the league since its launch in 2022 with backing from the Saudi Public Investment Fund.

Jon Rahm has already secured the individual season title for the third consecutive year. The LIV Golf Indianapolis tournament, commencing on Thursday at The Club at Chatham Hills, will determine the players finishing in second and third place, along with the top team. Despite the cancellation of the Michigan event, LIV has assured ticket refunds and cancellation of scheduled entertainment for the Indiana event.
