Lahore’s New Underpass to Open for Traffic Soon

The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) recently completed the construction of the Bhatti Chowk Underpass, including lane markings, as reported by Tahir Farooq, the LDA Director General during an inspection. During the visit, officials briefed Farooq on the completed construction work and instructed them to expedite the remaining beautification work on the underpass barrel, as well as finalize the protected u-turn along Circular Road in the coming days.

TEPA Chief Engineer Iqrar Hussain confirmed to Farooq that the remaining beautification work, along with the service road and protected U-turn, would be completed soon. Farooq also reviewed the development works at Lahore Railway Station, where he was briefed about a newly installed dancing fountain in the parking area. Additionally, he directed officials to complete finishing work around the station, enhance facilities for porters, install fans and ensure water availability. He also ordered improvements to traffic signs around the railway station to guide visitors.
